The MoJC is a coalition of criminal legal system advocates who collaborate to amplify, uplift, and educate our community and elected officials about the injustice of wrongfully convicting and unjustly imprisoning innocent persons and shed light on inhumane prison conditions.
Our mission is to bring about meaningful change to the criminal legal system in Missouri by reducing mass incarceration, ending racial disparities, and promoting fair and just policies.
The MoJC has an Advisory board that includes advocates and currently incarcerated people. This board brings their personal experiences and legal expertise to inform their work in educating the community and proposing new laws. They work together to educate the public and elected officials about problems in the criminal justice system and to push for changes through new legislation. They aim to create a more fair and humane criminal justice system by organizing community education, proposing reforms, educating officials, and lobbying for support and passage of new bills.
